This evening, the SLSO played in tribute the slow movement from Mahler
5, with an observation of silence for several moments afterward. It was
an amazing, beautiful gesture. It was quite something to be sitting in a
concert hall with 2,200 people and an orchestra, with not even a peep or
cough. The silence was deafening.=20
