Yesterday I went to the Saint Louis Science Center to donate blood. After
waiting the four hours we were told that we'd have to wait (the Science Center
graciously opened all its exhibits for us and allowed us to see the Omnimax
feature without charge while waiting), I was told that there'd be another four
hour wait. I decided to come home.

I couldn't stand to watch TV any longer, so I put on my consolation music:

Brahms' German Requiem, with James Levine conducting the Chicago Symphony
Orchestra and Kathleen Battle singing with the voice of a comforting angel.

All the best,
