Dan Paprocki says (Hi, Dan!):
<<What music did everyone find comforting after this tragic event? I've been listening to Mahler 3. It has it's dark moments but there is a glimmer of light.>>
Dan,
I confess I have had CNN on almost constantly, and haven't been playing any music.
I was able to get some peace by practising. We're rehearsing Mendelssohn's "Scottish" and Walton's "Facade Suite", and I spent some time with these pieces. The Mendelssohn was comforting, and the Walton has great humor.
That's how I got some relief!
By the way. In driving my son to school today, I noticed dozens of houses displaying American flags.
When I got home, I got mine out and put it up.
Walter
