I was so upset on Tuesday that I was unable to go teach my students. I
was feeling a little better yesterday, but now I need to try a little
harder. I have 4 young flute students who have all been playing a year
or less. I can't stand teaching out of the Rubank Elementary Method for
flute. Has anybody found a flute method that is as good as the Galper
clarinet method? I like the fact that Abe starts out with slurs,
melodies and phrasing on the first page. All of my clarinet students are
crazy about the Galper method. None of my flute students like the
Rubank. I am trying "Learn to play flute", but it's not the greatest. I
am familiar with "A Tune A Day", and that is not what I'm looking for. I
know this is a Klarinet List, but some of us clarinetists also teach
flute lessons. ANNIE
