I don't remember the folly but I remember my mother going to the movies
each week to see the latest newsreels and hoping she did not see my
father in one of them. I remember all the week-long parties and dancing
when the war ended. Hope we don't have to play for similar parties a
few years from now. Unfortunately anyone under 55 probably doesn't have
the same understanding of what happened yesterday as we do. If we must
make a full scale response I hope it is done as we did in WWII and not
as we did in Korea or VietNam. Hope it is done in secrecy and we learn
of it when it is over - the guilty have been extracted and are on their
way to meet the families of the victims.
