I think you miss a point, Wayne...these are not "petty differences"...to
claim so rejects the reality that there are a wide range of sensitivities
when it comes to religion that should be understood and taken into
consideration when anyone invokes a diety, or whatever, in behalf of
another.

I realize you, as a Christian, see an "...act of prayer" as "...the highest
form of service..." but some of feel as strongly that how one treats other
human beings on a day to day basis is much more important.

Unless you've been there it's not easy to understand what it's like to be in
a minority and how, especially with respect to religion in this country, the
"tyranny of the majority" can be devastating.

It's clear to many that by the year 2050 more than half the people in
America will be those currently characterized as "minorities." In some areas
it's already a reality. We have a lot to learn about how others think,
react, and view their existence in what today is still...but not for
long...a white, Christian majority.

I don't want to offend, Wayne, but just to make a point. If I were a Devil
worshiper, but otherwise a decent person with a track record to prove it,
how would you react if I extended my best wishes in the name of the
AntiChrist? Just words, aren't they? But the impact can be startling!
