Hehe, do you think that Youth Symphony means Leroy Anderson
arrangements? I play principal clarint in the St Louis Symphony YO and
believe me, it puts many professional orchestras to shame! We play big
pieces like this, too, like L'Oiseau de Feu, Symphonic Dances, Symphonic
Metamorphosis, Shostakovich's 5th, usually a Beethoven symphony each
year, all sorts of major works. And on our first concert this fall we're
playing Scheherazade. It'll be a lot of fun! :D
