Sorry to be so blunt, but are there still people out there who don't have a
regularly updated virus protection program? People spend a lot of money on a
PC, only to wince at the (relatively) small price of virus protection.

Heck, you can even get it free some places on the web (look at the antivirus
section on www.download.com etc.) and a free firewall in the form of Zone
Alarm (www.zonelabs.com). I myself use ZoneAlarm alongside my self-updating
Norton Antivirus. I can recommend both of these from experience. YMMV

My Norton antivirus program caught the VBS.Haptime.A@-----. I think it
came in with an email. Basically, my in mailbox was wiped out.
Fortunately I had a backup from 9/3. Anybody know anything about this, or
did it happen to anyone else?
