Please let me join the collective "arrgh!" over this.
Back when I did a lot more pit work, I borrowed an appliance from my Dad to
clean up the rental parts. It was -- honest! -- an electric eraser. It had
a little electric motor that would spin an eraser like a drill; with the
white plastic sort of eraser inserted, you could get most of the excrement
off the page in a jiffy.
This was a useful tool for draftsmen back when airplane drawings were
real-size, and actually drawn by hand. Today they are all done on computer,
so I haven't seen an electric eraser marketed in years. Perhaps the
Woodwind & Brasswind could spot the potential market and . . .
