Hell, as a person that mostly plays bass clarinet in orchestra these days,
this problem seems to be the story of my life. If you play bass, learn to
transpose A and read Bass Clef.... If it is too hard to do on sight, then
write out a part. I am always running into incorrect transpositions and
notes written for bass clef. If I'm playing a rental, I'll show up to the
rehearsal with a good white soft eraser so that I can read the music.
