While I thank Ann for her suggestion about the performance of cadenzas
in the wind instrument concerti, I state that anyone who begins the
discussion about cadenzas (particularly in K. 581 and K. 622) does so
with a handicap of monumental proportions since there are no cadenzas in
either work.

And this is much more than simply an argument about a proper word to
describe the phenomenon. If one uses the word "cadenza" one has a
completely incorrect interpretation of what one is supposed to do when
the other thing (called an "eingang" or "lead in") occurs. The two are
only distantly related and if one does cadenza things during an eingang,
which is the subject of that piece Ann wrote, one is in effect kicking a
field goal in a baseball game.
