I am pleased to report that sales of "The Clarinetist Composer" have reached
nearly 100 in the month that it has been available. A lot of these sales have
taken place as a result of this list and I am grateful to those of you who
have chosen to purchase it. Copies have been shipped to at least half a dozen
countries, I am told.

For those of you hoping to hear some mp3 samples, there are still some minor
technical issues regarding those. I will report when those are ready to go
(hopefully soon). The samples will not be of complete works, by the way.
There should be some incentive to buy the disc!

I have not had a chance to write back to all of you who have written to me
with questions and comments about the recording, but I will try to get around
to it soon. I will try to answer a few of the more common questions here just
to save a little time.

Most common question was about the last movement of the Jettel four concert
etudes. I do not circular breathe. There are two edits which allowed the
movement to sound seamless.

I did not change clarinets for the stamping dance in the Yadzinski. It is the
same bflat clarinet I played for the rest of the work. I just had very good
fingerings for the high notes.

Any other questions or comments may be posted to me privately or to the list
if you think the answer will be of interest to others.
