Certainly, <my> most enlightening/instructional period on the net since I
commenced surfing <anywhere> 2 1/2 years ago. In my opinion, the instant
exchanges of valuable historical info/musings such as we`ve been privileged
to read in the last week far out-weighs the not altogether unheard of
dogmatic views one can read in text books about our past musical heritage.

My luck in this last week is that I haven`t had a book on my bedside table.

My disappointment is that my ignorance manifests itself to all in my absence
from contributing.

Best Wishes,

Tony W.

P.S.
Welcome back to Bill Wright after his fishing(?) trips. What was your
biggest catch?

Bill,
If you remember some 6/7 months ago, I promised a complimentary copy of my
Three Traditional Songs for clarinet 4tet to you, and to someone, who I`m
ashamed to say I have forgotten, other than that her first name is Sue. Can
you or she remind me who Sue may be, as in the next couple of weeks I`ll be
ready to post it off to you both. It turned out to not include Shenandoah
after all, (sorry) but you`ll be pleased(?) to hear that there are no
improvisational demands, the required standard of artisanship being whatever
the American equivalent of British Grade 5 to 6 is. (8 in all, prior to
music college at 18 years old.)

(My <foolproof> reason for forgetting Sue is that I accidentally cleared
away all my incoming mail, leaving but only one 'out' mail to you and Sue).
T.W.
