Well I've played around with my Albert horns but can't say that I "switched
over." I can say that within a few hours of practicing, I could play pieces
of an intermediate level of difficulty.

High Pitch was approx A@-----. This put the High
pitch horns about a quarter step out of tune. i.e. the note A was halfway
between the A (at 440 for LP) and the corresponding Bb (which would be about
466 for LP).

The Albert system is the direct linear ancestor to the Oehler system (i.e.
the modern German system). Basically the Albert has fewer keys but for the
most part you can use an Oehler fingering chart for it.
