How about Reginald Kell vs. Harold Wright?

Unfortunately, I think the "sonic palate" of clarinetists, at least in the
US, has become more uniform with the years. That's why I was disappointed
not to hear more European and South American clarinetist at the festival
this year. But for some contrast, try Karl Leister and Larry Combs at
Clarinetfest 2001, although Leister was playing on a different variety of
clarinet.
