I know you asked this question of Aaron, but I would say that the
differences occur because both Leister and Stolzman are human beings, and
humans are like snowflakes - no two are exactly alike. The differences in
the size and shape of the oral cavity are alone enough to create such
differences. Then, when the variations in their hearing and their
conception of sound are factored in, it is remarkable that they don't sound
even more different than they do.
