If you do the Molter, be sure to check on Richard Shanley's dissertation
from NTSU (now University of North Texas) on the Molter concerti. He played
one of them at a ICA Convention back when it was in Toronto (1978, I
believe).

Hello everyone,

As a regular reader of the list I have finally decided to make my first post
and
tap into the vast collective knowledge out there.

I am working on a DMA at the moment and I am beginning to plan the
repertoire for
my two required recitals. I am particularly keen to include in one of them a
piece
for E-flat clarinet which I play a lot of in the bands here at Illinois. Are
there
any pieces out there (preferably with piano accompaniment) that anyone would
suggest as being worth trying?

I have considered doing one of the Molter Concerti even though they were
originally
for D clarinet and transposing the piano accompaniment. I would greatly
welcome any
input from the members of the list in pointing in the right direction/s.

Thanks very much in advance.
