Hi everyone

I just joined this list & am amazed at the be amount of information sent
back and forth! I'm looking for into learning about the clarinet world a
little more.

Basically, I am a freelance musician in the NYC area. The clarinet was my
first instrument but I stopped playing it for many years, getting two
degrees in classical music and a lot of work as an Oboist. These days I
plan play a lot more jazz, folk, Celtic, and other improvisational styles of
music in addition to classical. I've finally purchased a r13 and I am
trying to get a more comfortable, easier blowing mouthpiece than the Van
Doren b 45 that I've had for many years now.

I play the oboe and the pennywhistle (and the violin) and I like to have a
fairly effortless production of tone but the tone does need to be full,
dark, round, etc. Does anyone have suggestions? I would be most
appreciative.

You can find out more about me at my website-
