Hi Annie,

It was nice meeting you at ClarinetFest. We had an interesting conversation while waiting on the airport shuttle. I agree with Audrey's comment. I bought a new mouthpiece at ClarinetFest and I think I still sound like "me", but it's easier for me to do so. My tone is fuller, I can control pitch better, and articulation is easier. The timbre may be slightly different or even better. But it's still "me".

I recall Leister saying we change equipment, because we change. It's impossible to play on the same equipment for a long time. Maybe there is some truth to that. I'm personally hoping my present set up will last a long while.

Anyway, thanks for recommending I join the list. It's been entertaining so far.
