Dear Larry,
I now use Gonzalez and Mozart reeds. I find that I always have a
reed that works with no adjustments. I played one for Eddie Daniels'
Master class, one of the free samples they were giving away at the
booth, and I had just put it on in the room 2 minutes before the master
class. I'm still using that reed, and now I have to soak it in "The
Doctor's" longer-reed-life magic potient. ANNIE

My thanks and congratulations to Steve Cohen and all the N.O.
organizers. ClarinetFest 2001 was marvelous.
I bought the new Gonzalez and Mozart reeds there for the choir
rehearsals
and performance and wonder if any others have tried these new reeds yet
and if you're as pleased with them as I am.
Mine seemed to require less preparation or break-in time than the
better-known reeds, and still have a full sound.
Any comments or suggestions on their use, storage and preparation would
be appreciated.
