I agree that Mr. Garrett has every right to express his opinions, and dispute
all or any of mine (or anyone else's). That is one of the things that make
this list interesting and valuable.

However, Mr. Garrett has the UNFORTUNATE tendency to insult those which he
disagrees with. We have seen it happen over and over again. He also seems to
ascribe the basest possible motives to those with whom he disagrees.

I took great offense at Mr. Garrett's comment.

I do not need to, nor intend to make misleading statements to this list. I
stand by what I said, earlier.

One of the advantages of not taking the digest, is being able to read the
list selectively. From now on, I will NOT be opening Mr. Garrett's posts.

Mr. Garrett, I will defend to the death your right to free speech. However, I
also have the right not to read them.
