Hi Brent,
Go to Pierre Schwob's Classical Music Archives at
http://www.classicalarchives.com/index_1.html
Beethoven and Tchaikovsky have their own pages. There are several MIDI
versions of
the Tchaikovsky concerto and a couple of versions of the Beethoven Concerto
No. 3 (only one version of the 3rd movement.)
The clarinets are track 10 of the former and track 3 of the latter in the
1st movement (I didn't look at the others).
If you have music notation software which will import a MIDI file and allow
you to print the staves, you're almost home free. Getting the music this
way always has problems, not the least of which arises because MIDI files
are sequenced according to the way they are supposed to sound (staccato
eighths often come out as sixteenths separated by sixteenth rests, for
example). As for whether C clarinet is used here and there, someone on the
list will know for sure, then you can transpose that staff accordingly (or
maybe not, in the case of C!). In the absence of someone on the list being
able to pull the clarinet part out of a trunk in the attic, this approach
is better than nothing. Good luck,
Oliver
