I am firmly in Walter Grabner's camp --- my experience has been that, with a
good mouthpiece many, if not most, reeds will work well. With a poor
mouthpiece, nothing works! Gimme a Clark Fobes mouthpiece and an old Rico #2
reed any day over a stock Buffet plastic mouthpiece with a cherry-picked
Vandoren #4 reed!
