I'd second everything said about "overplaying." I have lots of regrets
about the church performance I did last year because I'm not a Klezmer
player. I was simply copying that which I have heard. So it came out
flat, loud and bending. If there was anyone in the audience who really
knows Klezmer he was saying, about that clarinetist, "What the hell is
going on? Get rid of that guy." Still, it was probably the only chance
I'll ever have to do it and it was fun.
