The velcroe is attached via elastic bands that wrap over the ends and down
the length of the case. There is no way for these to break - only for the
velcro to eventually wear out or "fill" the loops - but that doesn't appear
to be a problem in the immediate future.
The straps that go over the shoulder and hold the music flap in place both
use buckles.
