I very much enjoyed his playing. I was also facinated on the way that
Arrignon and Joko.... blended when the three played Mozart together.

I am sorry I missed that from the comments of several who attended.

I enjoyed the Colorado String Quartet with both performers.
They played in perfect proportions at all times.
I was awed by Leister and Brahms, particularly since he is playing the
instrument more similar to that Muelfeld's. His recording, with Amadeus
Q has long been a favorite. It *was* a change to Brahms without the
sheer physical volume many (including me((not that I have gotten to
perform the quintet))) bring to the forte sections. For me it worked in
the context of clarinet and strings having also gorgeous piannissmo
control and colors.

On the discussion the next day, Leister mentioned the end of the second
movement, "....the soul of the gypsy is ascending into heaven... "

I loved the appropriate and musically based showmanship of Sujeito A
Guincho, Fred Ormand & Lee Morgan on Il Covengno(sp), to mention just a
couple.

Don't you find the inspiration and examples make a difference? Works for
me, at least for a while. Then it is my job to have more good samples...

I am sorry i didn't get to talk directly with you there.
