When fully assembled with the mouthpiece but without the mouthpiece cap, a
Bb clarinet is approximately 26 1/2" long. An A clarinet is about 27 1/2
inches long. Eb soprano clarinets are about 19" long. I'm not sure how
long a C clarinet is but it will be under 25 inches long.

Most of the clarinets sold on eBay and in newspaper ads are Bb clarinets.
If the seller doesn't know what it is, then it probably is a Bb as those who
have the others for sale will usually know what it is.
