A note on the fact that you have to call or write for price:

That policy is due to the manufacturers, not WW/BW. Many instrument makers
are trying to level the playing field as much as possible for local music
stores against the internet /mail order sellers. I work for a local
(Charleston, WV) store in existence since 1946, and have to compete
withWW/BW and others daily. Many manufacturers are instituting the policy
of not advertising anything but the retail price (and I know they can be
inflated). With some brands we aren't allowed to give discounted prices AND
put our email address or web site address or even our 800 number on the same
piece of paper.

The other reason for the call-for idea is that some makers set one low price
that everyone has to use in advertising. You can SELL it lower than they set
the limit, you just can't adverticse it or even tell someone a lower price
if they call by phone. (one particular large manufacturere shops their
dealers by phone on a regular basis to enforce this rule). I know this may
look and sound silly to some not involved in the selling end of the
business, and many people still break the rules in advertising. Although
they provide us with stiff competition, I appreciate WW/BW playing by the
rules and have purchased from them myself when I can't get it anywhere else
locally.
