Hello fellow Robert, anyway... I own a Pomarico Crystal mpc, and it is
definatly hard to control, and I've been playing for about 8 years now. I
definatly would not recommend a crystal (especially not the one I have) to a
beginner. In fact I heard from one of my students, that they had a Pomarico
one time, and coulden't play anything well on it. I think that a beginner
would definatly if anything be very frustrated with a Crystal mouthpeice,
especially because they have trouble controling their sound at that time
anyway, without the extra problems of crystal. Granted crystal has its
benefits, it has a tremendous unique sound, and an appealing look. It also
is quite free flowing, but as I said it comes with the price of being hard
to control.
