I've been using and selling Bonade ligatures for close to twenty years and
never had a screw strip. How old are these ligatures you're using? If you're
tightening them so tightly to keep the thing from slipping, you can try a
small square of vinyl tape on the back of the mouthpiece to provide some
traction.
