Yes, they're a ton of money, but when compared to the price of a fine
bassoon, they're still a bargain!

It sounds as if the fingerings are a lot less like a bassoon as well. It is
about time, though, in all truth, I have never found another bass I have
preferred over the Selmers. still, anything to make the fingerings in the
lower register more logical and "interchangeable" as well as getting rid of
so much of that old right thumb action by using rollers is a great
improvement.
