Donna,

How about Percy Granger? Molly on the Shore comes to
mind, as well as Irish Tune from County Derry and
Colonial Song (spelling is bad probably...1:25 AM
here...lol.)

Claude T. Smith stuff is a good, and easy to put
together, with lots of solo and soli things for
clarinet. Emperata Overture. Incidental Suite.

Vaughn Williams Folk Song Suite.

Gustav Holst's 1st and 2nd Suites for military band.
Also, 2 Songs Without Words (Opus 22) by Gustav Holst
(Marching Song and Country Song are the two
movements...originally for Wind Band, and then
arranged for chamber orchestra... GREAT for small
bands OR small orchestras.)

Khachaturain Armenian Dances.

Alfred Reed Amenian Dances (I and II).

Persichetti's Symphony for Band.

Variations on a Korean Folk Song by John Barnes
Chance.

Sousa Marches.

Whew! Lots of things off the top of my head. Here is a
list on a web page from the Oregon Band Directors
Association that lists Concert Band pieces for
different classifications...great resource, if you are
starting from scratch...I found this while looking up
some pieces for the correct title on
www.altavista.com. You would probably do the high
school pieces

Hope this helps...
