I had the privilege of working with Mr. Cabonare at Jonathan Cohler's=20
International Clarinet Connection (ICC 2001) this past June. He gave master=
=20
classes, lessons, and a number of recitals. He, as were the other faculty a=
t=20
the "Connection", absolutely fabulous. His technique was incredible and he=
=20
played with incredible passion. I attached his bio below.

As an aside, I encourage anyone who wants a solid week of nothing but=20
outstanding clarinet pedagogy from sunup to sundown to check out next year's=
=20
ICC at the Longy School in Boston. It's a fantastic opportunity for everyon=
e=20
from amateurs to professionals to be involved in lessons, master classes and=
=20
recitals with some of the world's leading performers. Here is the link for=20
the 2001 Conference this past June.

Alessandro Carbonare

Born in Desenzano, Northern Italy, in 1967, Alessandro Carbonare shortly=20

Geneva, Prague and the Munich ARD so that at present he is the most awarded=20
Clarinetist in the world.=20

Currently Alessandro Carbonare lives in Paris, being principal clarinetist=20
super-soloist at the "Orchestre National de France"; nevertheless he holds a=
n=20

=20
an exceptional mellowness of sound in every register...". Moreover,=20
Alessandro Carbonare has been invited by Berliner Philarmoniker as First=20

His intense activity made him to work many prestigious Conductors like=20

=20
played as principal clarinet with Riccardo Muti, Seji Osawa, Charles Dutoit,=
=20

Haitink. And just to enlarge actual repertoire, on 2001/2002 he will give th=
e=20
world premiere of Clarinet Concerti written for him by Salvatore Sciarrino=20
and Ivan Fedele, even giving premiere of Luis De Pablo Concert in November=20
2000, accompanied by Orchestra Nacional De Espana.

As far as chamber music, Alessandro Carbonare is a member of the woodwind=20
