Subj: [kl] Advice on methods, please?
Date: Wed, 1 Aug 2001 22:06:03 -0400

Hello all!

I've been lurking here for a while and have yet to see this issue
arise...Does anyone have preference on an intermediate method that you like
to use? I have a couple of 2nd-5th year students (ranging from 7th grade
to9th grade) and I'm having some problems with the choosing a method for
them. I've tried the Rubank Intermediate, but it's to dry. At the same
time, they're a little too musically immature to tackle the Hite or Rose
etude books. I've been relying on technically based solos and of course
scales, but I'm running out of options. Any ideas?

Thank you!
