Beats the heck out of me! It may simply be that clarinetists, being the
hidebound traditionalists that they are, resist the "different" key
arrangement. I also personally find the keys slightly less attractive, as
they do stand away from the clarinet body a bit more, even while the
Leblanc trill key TOUCHES tend to be closer IN to the body.
