Thanks for responding to my question about mouthpiece tuning. I thought that
a mouthpiece producing a specified pitch (such as concert F#) would simplify
tuning of the entire instrument. In other words, if some pitch higher or
lower than the F# is produced, it would be more difficult to tune the
instrument. I suppose all of this doesn't make much sense, but no matter
--you have certainly cleared up my misconception. I'll be looking for David
Pino's book.
