And then, my favorite lines of _The Mikado_ (found the exact quote in

Yum-Yum

There! I was certain of it, directly I heard you play!

My favorite Mikado quote is:

POOH-BAH: Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic
verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative.

To wrench the topic back to the clarinet: Since my tooth-chipping
plus bronchitis incident 12 days ago, I haven't touched an instrument,
and don't think I will for another week or so. I know I'm not ready,
but I'm getting nervous thinking how difficult it will be to get back
into clarinet playing. Any suggestions other than play a little more
every day, long tones, and Baermann III?

Thanks,
Claudia
