Roger,

I wouldn`t say that I "know my stuff", but to tell you what was wrong (if
anything) would not prove in this instance to be constructive, for the
furtherance of your
interest in writing music. You do have indeed a potential to offer
something, and it may come as no surprise for you to hear that what that
potential might eventually mature into, will only manifest itself after many
hours of dedicated reading, listening and writing. Write, write and write
even more Roger. You will then eventually learn how to be your <own> critic.

I heard only a couple of days ago on U.K. radio that (I think it was) Cole
Porter who once said, "I have to write 20 songs, before <one> of them
becomes successful".

Best Wishes, (but don`t forget your clarinet studies also).

Tony Wakefield.
