Anne-
I am one of the regular "read these posts but don't always participate"
members.
I'm spending a rare Saturday evening at home for once, working on reeds and
catching up on all the writings of the members of this list from the past
week. But I would hate to see you quit now.

Mark is right. I, for one, have enjoyed reading your posts as you prepare
for the contest. Sometimes we get so involved with doing something 'fun'
that it's easy to become too self-critical. I don't know how expensive your
recording sessions are, but maybe this one has served to get all the junk
that would bother you out of the way so you can be more objective and sail
smoothly with the rest of your preparation and recording.

And I am curious about the mic your engineer is using, perhaps some of us
who have some recording experience and knowledge can help there. Hang in
there!
