Trust me. It seems that the statement that "it is almost impossible to
sort these things out on an internet forum" has very little value to the
participants, unless or until they are able to generate appreciation of
that statement themselves. Personally, I have found such metacomments
to be inflammatory.

Helping to sort it out is another thing.
