I will add that we can get very hung up on measurements.

I can hand you a mouthpiece that measures "up to spec" in every way possible, and it can still be a very mediocre mouthpiece.

I can hand you another, with the same "measurements" and it might be wonderful.

I don't think were even close yet on what these measurements SHOULD be, let alone making sure that every mouthpiece in a given brand or model conform to measurements within 1/1000 of an inch.
