Gil,

Don't be ashamed of your music....I started back playing from when I was
in eighth grade and now I am 48. Sure, I marvel at the wonderful "real"
players on the list. BUT, I remember they had to start just like us
with "Mary had a little lamb" songs.

I use the Hal Leonard book frequently and then try to play my favorite
Glen Miller songs also. The book I like best is my 100 clarinet solos
book, it has lots of popular scores for all levels of achievement. It
really makes me feel like I am getting better when my playing sounds
close to the pros.

As one of my music buddies told me, it is just like learning to walk,
you had to crawl first !

Kirk,
enjoying good days as well as learning from the bad.
