Klarinet Archive - Posting 000180.txt from 2001/07
From: "J. Michael Norsworthy" <mnorswor@-----.net> Subj: RE: [kl] What's on your stand? Date: Sat, 7 Jul 2001 19:15:33 -0400
Rossini- Theme & Variations
Crussell- Concerto Op.5
Messiaen - Quartet for the End of Time
Elliot Carter - Gra & Clarinet Concerto
Nielsen - Concerto Op.57
John Adams - Gnarly Buttons
Brian Israel - Concerto for clarinet and wind ensemble
Sciarrino - Let me die before I wake
Bach - Chaconne (transcription by Langenus)
Opperman - Daily Studies Bk.1
Mimart - Method book excerpts
Lachenmann - Dal Niente
That's about it. All of this stuff is either for a festival I'm playing in
Italy this summer, or concerts for the upcoming fall season. Seems like a
lot but I just like to start early and learn more slowly over a longer
period of time.
I'm off to Europe tomorrow, so I'll read again when I get back. Interesting
topic to post on, thanks!
Best,
Michael Norsworthy
