I have a whole list of stuff that I'm plugging through for the
summer...fun stuff it is. The Schumann Fantasy Pieces (I don't know why I
put them off for so long...they're fantastic), Hindemith's Sonata,
R.R.Bennett's Sonatina, Wanhal's Sonata (not really WORKING on it...it's a
neat little piece that's lightweight and fun), Milhaud's Caprice (which,
you would think is like the Wanhal, but is deceptively hard hard HARD),
and a Clar-4tet arrangement of Mahler's In Praise of Lofty Intellect.
Not a bad chunk of literature to chew on for the summer, no? Too bad I
have to work extra hours to afford an accompanist who can tackle the
Hindemith and Schumann. *smirk*
