Sorry. Lack of specificity. They were matched insofar as I ordered them
all at the same time. The Bb & A were to have the extra keys, except for
the low Eb, and the store had none available. They were ordered from
France. The bass was ordered at the same time, and for their convenience, I
assume, was also shipped from France. Later, when I was called to get them,
they had removed them for testing from some sort of shipping crates with
customs stickers on them. Of course, the Bb & A were in the double case.
The bass was separate. Actually, I don't know just how "matched" the Bb & A
are, or for that matter, what "matched" actually means, but they were
ordered at the same time and delivered at the same time, and have what
was -- at least, at that time -- the unusual configuration of keys. I don't
frankly ever remember looking to see whether there was a 9, 9*, or 35-1/2
stamped on the bass. It was a beautiful, resonate instrument. I hope
whoever stole it enjoyed it as much as I did.
