Mozart's music must be played very rhythmically, but it should never
sound metronomic!

Isn't it easy to hide or reveal rhythmic accuracy by controlling attack,
dynamic, shape of each note, etc?

A metronome is monotonous because it is constant in every regard. A
musical note, however, can be absolutely accurate on the 'time axis',
but the note's attack, shape, etc can relieve the monotony and add
expression.

Thus there's more to our perception of rhythm than just when the sound
wave arrives.... ????
