I have the "Bettoney Baermann Clarinet Method" Second Book, Part V,
Copyrighted 1939 by Cundy-Bettoney Co. It was adapted for the Boehm
Clarinet by Harry Bettoney and is so cluttered with numerical gibberish and
flagged half notes (having to do with various fingerings for different types
of clarinets) that the markings are a real impediment to studying the
etudes. You have to stop to tell grace notes from the flagged half notes
(whatever they are supposed to mean).

Maybe I'm just picky, but all that clutter really bothers me. So my
question is: Is this Carl Baermann, Second Book, Part V available in a
"cleaned up" edition? Carl Fischer, maybe.

Thanks,

Gene Nibbelin
