A soft eyeglass case is just the right size for a BBb contra mouthpiece and
ligature
for storage in the case.

Woodwind and Brasswind has caps. The "standard" model is a little too small
for the older, wide-reed Leblanc mouthpiece (the one that takes Vandoren
Contrabass reeds) but is a little tight but usable for the Leblanc newer ones
that take bass sax reeds, and the Selmer BBb mouthpieces. These go for, I
think, around $12 plus shipping. The Selmer cap is much nicer, but the price
is out of sight - between $25 and $30, as I recall. Still, a box of reeds is
even more, and you only buy a cap once. . . .

I went to Sam Ash in New York and tried several bass sax caps till I found
one that fit for nicely (after only a tiny bit of bending) for around $10.

Best regards.

Ken Shaw
