Larry,
I recommend that you order either of the Ross
Taylor collections from Southern Music Co. in Texas.
One collection is pieces that are basically original
to the 5-tet and the other is all good arrangements.
Both are a mix of difficulty levels but nothing too
hard. In terms of individual pieces, try these out for
size:
Ibert - "Trois Pieces Breves"
Haydn - "Quintet" (various arrangers/editions)
Joplin (arr. Frackenpohl) - Maple Leaf Rag, Easy
Winners
Lefebvre - Quintet
Danzi - op 56 Quintets (there are other opera but
these are, IMHO, the better ones)
