My local music store had a metal Selmer cap for contra-alto clarinet,
but I thought $40 was tooooo much to spend. So I followed thru
on an idea I had years ago. I bought a plastic salt and pepper shaker
set of the correct size, cut out the space for ligature and reed.
Voila, a mouthpiece cap with ventilation.

The heavy duty Konig & Meyer bass clarinet/bassoon stand
(around $100) is very secure for contra-alto, and I have heard
from a couple of contra-bass players will work for BBb as well.
